Mrs. Mintie SMITH dies at the Culver Hospital. Mrs. Mintie O. Smith who resided with her son Ernest north of Waveland died at the Culver Hospital on Monday morning after an illness of several weeks. Born in Montgomery County, Oct 23, 1875 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Allen, she was united in marr. To Alfred Smith who preceded her in death in 1929. Surviving are her son, Ernest and a brother, Charles Allen of Indianapolis. Funeral services were conducted from Freedom Baptist Church of which she was a member, Wed afternoon at 1. The Rev. CL Airhart and Earl Hall conducted the service. Burial in Freedom Cemetery. - kbz
